Institute of Transportation Engineers Transportation Systems and Management Council Outstanding Project Award

Richard Beaubien delivered the Institute of Transportation Engineers Transportation Systems and Management Council Outstanding Project Award to the Macomb County Roads Department.  The award was presented at the Institute of Transportation Engineers Annual Meeting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on July 30, 2017.  The award recognizes the COMTEC Center which combines the operations of traffic signals, traffic cameras, county sheriff dispatch, police and fire dispatch for the city of Sterling Heights and Clinton Township, and county emergency management.  The county also cooperates with the Michigan Department of Transportation for integrated corridor management along a portion of the I-696 freeway.
